Who am I? What are my interests and hobbies? What is it that defines me?
My life can be summed up as a patchwork quilt with bits and pieces of all kinds of things–personally and professionally. No matter what “position” or “title” I’ve held, there is a story that goes along with it. But certainly each one has been important to making me who I am and who I am continuing to become.
I was born and raised in Colorado. After spending time in California, Arizona and Nevada, I returned home and plan to stay! Always being one to mix things up a bit, I’ve combined family, education and career throughout the years, earning a combination of degrees along the way. A couple of teachers along the way fostered my writing, meager though it seemed to me at the time, and my first post gives the background for this blog. I never want to quit learning, so I continue pursuing my second masters degree and gaining further education in balancing life.
My husband, Mark, and I live in the foothills of the Wet Mountains near Westcliffe, Colorado, with our dog, Sammie. We have 4 grown daughters (with 4 sons-in-law), 2 grown sons, 4 grandsons, and 1 grandson in the oven. We love traveling and enjoy the sights as we watch the odometers roll for business trips, visiting family, and whatever else comes our way. I like reading, animals, DIY projects, french fries and ice cream.
